Our founder and designer Sharnee’s love for the beauty of the tropics could be fully expressed in this decadent collaboration with Tigerlily. A playful collection inspired by balmy days spent next to sparkling turquoise waters, Tigerlily’s beloved resort wear silhouettes pair perfectly with our traditional picnic rug design.
As a fresh Textile designer graduate working for a print studio in Sydney she designed prints for Tigerlily. Sharnee loved watching the artworks come to life from hand drawing to hanging in the Tigerlily boutique. Fast forward 12 years this collection marks a special full circle moment for Sharnee’s career hand painting a dream Tigerlily print in her sun dappled Byron Bay studio.
The Nirvana Rosa print was inspired by the allure of the warm Caribbean sun, the vibrant rhythms of Cuba, and the bold colours of exotic landscapes. Sharnee also pulled motifs from the ornate flowing lines of old story book covers and patterned textures of old buildings.
The colour palette is a wonderland of pale coral pinks, azure blues and rich fuchsia. The shades were extracted from exotic fruits, rainbow winged butterflies and faded old tapestries. Among the collection's highlights are the sarong and blue one-piece swimsuit. The hand painted print looks so cute on these fabrics, and we can’t wait to wear ours at the ocean’s edge, with a hibiscus in our hair, whiling away the hours on the matching rug.
Our intention with this collection is to inspire you to savor the gift of time, much like you would on a tropical vacation. This is the moment to unwind, swim in the ocean, and read a book under the sun. There's a nirvana to be found in the present.
