The Wandering Folk team was mesmerized by the enchanting atmosphere of Bluesfest during five magical days. As the festival season kicked off, we seized the moment by dancing each and every night away. Bluesfest, a Byron born festival with over 30 years of history, holds a special place in our heart. We spent hours strolling around the stunning glittering stalls, enjoying the sunset on our picnic rug, and swaying to new and classic tunes under the stars.
The start of the winter season is marked every year by the arrival of this music festival. It's the last hurrah for the locals as the clocks turn back and evenings grow shorter. There’s nothing better than a crispy evening at Bluesfest, keeping warm by boogying it up in your best cowboy boots.
Lovers of a boogie or two, we’re eager to keep a lookout for festivals across Europe and the USA in the upcoming months. A top tip we've learned is to bring a picnic rug; it's perfect for indulging in hot chips between performances or watching slower music from the hillside with a loved one. Picnics, festivals, music, tradition, and friends - what a fabulous way to celebrate life and bid farewell to summer. We can't wait to put on our dancing shoes once again!
