We are very excited to share with you our magical collaboration
with Adairs
Our founder Sharnee Thorpe is an artist and textile designer. Her biggest inspiration is nature, she has a deep love and obsession for flowers.
These hand drawn prints were inspired by an old tablecloth of her grandmother’s. Influenced by vintage florals and ornate shapes of the artist movement Art Nouvea.
It was a beautiful creative project merging these two styles together to create a unique print for Adairs.
We are so excited to see Wandering Folk prints on different products and homewares.
This is such a huge milestone. We are so honoured to have our prints in all Adairs stores across the country.
Dreaming up the idea for this campaign was such an amazing experience. With the support of a team of Byron Bay creatives we combined our unique talents and gifts to bring this vision to life.
Over two days we visited two breath taking locations and captured the essence of this magical collaboration.
Day one was under a big fig tree in Byron Bay, it’s such a beautiful location. It was like a scene out of a fairy tale. Sharnee read bedtime stories to her daughter Velvet surrounded by her artwork, under the fig tree. It was a very special moment in time.
The afternoons golden light brought the whole setting to life, after the sun had gone down the fairy lights turned on. The glow of the candles transformed it into a truly enchanting scene, better than we ever could have imagined.
Day two was on top of a hill over looking the Byron Bay coastline. It was a very windy day and the team did a great job keeping the outdoor collection looking its best while we battled the elements. Nature has a way of testing you sometimes. Sharnee's mini me joined us again. It was a little challenging trying to get a wild 2-year-old to stay in the shot, though music and dancing helped to keep her entertained.
The wind died down as the sun was setting and the afternoon picnic was something dreams are made of.
Our favourite products in the collection are the deck chair and umbrella. We just loving the 70's vibe these green colours bring! Perfect for summertime picnics and BBQs with a cocktail in hand.
This collection really has it all, everything you need for a dreamy picnic set up. Our favourite picnic time is golden hour. We love the way the sunlight bounced off the hills and dances through the sky.
As we welcome summer here in Australia, we are so excited to have all these beautiful products covered in our print to make our setups extra dreamy. We cant wait to see your summer time picnics!
