Woodford Folk Festival X Wandering Folk A collboration

We had the great privilege to work with one of our favourite festivals, bringing to life a limited edition picnic rug exclusively for Woodford Folk Festival.  We hand drew native flowers from the Woodfordia festival site to give the rug that special touch. Our exclusive picnic rugs were such a hit they sold out on day one of the seven day festival! While we wandered around the festival we spotted the picnic rugs everywhere- people were using them as a yoga mat, kids were sleeping on them under shady trees, couples eating lunch while watching their favourite band and most people had them slung over their shoulder wandering the beautiful Woodfordia site. It was a magical thing to witness.
Woodford Folk Festival is the most enchanting place I have ever been, a place to escape from reality. Every inch of the festival has been designed to please the eye, the bars are decorated in different themes from the Garland Bar with its ceiling covered in hundreds of silk roses, the Pineapple bar... the entrance is actually a giant pineapple with draping printed fabrics hanging from the ceiling and the best champagne pineapple cocktails, the Lotus stage that has giant fabric lotus flowers suspended from the trees as an outdoor shade sail with afternoon sound journeys and morning yoga. The food is to die for! There are performances from fire twirlers, acrobats, actors and giant puppets wandering the site, it really is like a fairy tale coming to life. Not to mention all the incredible bands that play. Last year Tash Sultana blew everyone away!  If you have not been to Woodford then it's something that is a must do in your life time, tucked away in the mountains behind the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
Our limited edition rugs were such a success last year we are working with Woodford to bring them back in 2017, they can be purchased closer to the festival dates.
